From 1970 to 1973, the Dorset Historical Society led Jeep adventures to remote areas of Dorset. They met at the Dorset Church, caravaned down the Lower Hollow Road, went up Coolidge Lane, off-roading to the top of Crane Hill, to the Freedley Quarry, and back down to Dorset Hill Road.
